The Heart Behind Fight Right Martial Arts

Master Christopher Cagle

Owner and Lead Instructor

Martial arts has been Chris Cagle’s life’s work.

Beginning his journey at just 9 years old, Chris has now dedicated more than 30 years to training, competing, learning, and mentoring through martial arts.

But Fight Right was never built to simply teach punches, kicks, belts, or trophies.

The vision has always been much bigger.

At Fight Right Martial Arts, the goal is to help each student become the strongest, healthiest, most capable version of themselves... mentally, emotionally, physically, and personally.

We believe martial arts should build leaders.

That’s why our culture is built around a simple philosophy:

Be Loving. Be Encouraging. Be Dangerous.

First, we teach students to be loving.

Then, encouraging.

Because without character, compassion, and self-control, teaching someone to be dangerous would simply create bullies.

Only then do we teach students how to become strong, confident, disciplined, and capable, so they can protect themselves, protect others, and walk through life with courage and humility.

With decades of experience and multiple black belts across different martial arts systems, Chris brings deep expertise to the mat, but his greatest passion is helping students discover what they’re capable of becoming.

Still Have Questions?

We've Got Answers.

Here are answers to some of the questions we hear most often.

Is my child too shy, uncoordinated, or inexperienced to start?

Absolutely not. Most of our students begin with little or no martial arts experience. Our instructors meet students where they are and help them build confidence one step at a time. Everyone starts somewhere, and our goal is to help every student grow at their own pace.

Will martial arts make my child more aggressive?

Quite the opposite. At Fight Right, we teach that character comes before capability. Students learn respect, self-control, humility, and responsibility alongside practical self-defense. Our philosophy is simple: Be Loving. Be Encouraging. Be Dangerous. Without the first two, we’d simply be creating bullies, and that’s never our goal.

Are parents allowed to watch classes?

Yes! We love having parents involved. You’re welcome to watch your child’s classes and celebrate their progress as they grow in confidence and skill.

What should my child wear for their first class?

Comfortable athletic clothing is perfect. We’ll provide any equipment needed for the first visit and help answer any questions about uniforms or gear afterward.

What if my child has trouble focusing or following directions?

Many parents tell us that’s exactly why they enrolled. Our structured classes help students improve focus, listening skills, self-discipline, and confidence in a positive, encouraging environment.

How is Fight Right different from other martial arts schools?

We believe martial arts should build more than great athletes... it should build great people. Our focus extends beyond punches and kicks to developing confidence, leadership, discipline, character, and real-world self-defense, all within a family-style community that genuinely cares about every student.

How often should my child attend?

Most students attend two classes each week to build consistency and steady progress. As students advance, many choose to participate in additional classes like sparring or our Leadership Training Program.

How do I get started?

The best way to experience Fight Right is to book an introductory class. You’ll meet our instructors, tour the academy, ask questions, and experience our culture firsthand before deciding if we’re the right fit for your family.
